Does Kidwell Moore Development Company directly profit by listing Affiliates?

No, this is strictly a free service provided to homeowners by KMDC.  By policy KMDC does not accept rebates, kick-backs, fees, or commissions from Affiliates.

Are contractors/service providers required to become Affiliates to perform work at Martha's Woods?

1. No, the homeowner deals with whomever they desire.  However, Affiliates will be already be familiar with the covenants and architectural standards assigned to Martha's Woods.  It remains the homeowner's responsibility to ensure that any contractor/service provider that they select adhere to the covenants and architectural standards whether or not they are an Affiliate.

What are the advantages in becoming an Affiliate?

1. Residents of Martha's Woods et al will likely refer the KMDC Affiliate Directory.  The directory will be especially helpful for residents who are new to the area, or residents seeking services not readily available in the local community.

2. The KMDC Affiliate Directory will be published and updated on the web at www.marthaswoods.com.

3. The public at large will have access to the Affiliate Directory via the Internet.

How does a contractor/service provider become an Affiliate?

KMDC makes the process simple and easy.  To be listed in the Affiliate Directory each contractor will provide KMDC with the following information.

1. A reference list of past customers

2. Proof of financial responsibility
              a. Bank reference is usually adequate

3. Proof of liability insurance
              a. Statement from the contractor's insurance carrier

4. A signed statement indicating that the contractor/service provider has reviewed the Architectural Standards and Covenants established for Martha's Woods.

Will KMDC perform background checks?

1. KMDC reserves the right to verify customer references, bank references, and insurance references.

2. KMDC will solicit feedback directly from customers (especially residents of Martha's Woods) regarding quality of workmanship and customer service.

3.  KMDC will contact past customers from the list provided by the contractor/service provider.

Does KMDC control the quality of work and/or pricing?

1. No, pricing is solely between the homeowner and the business.

2. Listing in the Affiliate Directory carries no implied or explicit warranty by KMDC for work performed by the contractor/service provider or products supplied.

3.  KMDC seeks out Affiliates who who meet our criteria for quality, workmanship, customer service, and fair dealing.

Does KMDC charge a fee to be listed in the Affiliate Directory?

There is no fee to link your existing website to ours.  Businesses without a website will be allocated enough disk space to publish at least one page on www.marthaswoods.com for a minimal disk storage fee of $35 per year.
